Diaphragmatic Breathing

Focus on inhaling through your nose. Inhale through your nose and into your stomach and you will be stronger. Breathing into your stomach uses a diaphragmatic action and doing so through your nose makes a stronger action and better compression which will help you be stronger. Diaphragmatic breathing is vital for strength.

When you breath into your stomach, air does not actually go into your stomach, it is just a reference to ensure you are breathing properly. The diaphragm is a parachute shaped muscular partition between the chest and the abdomen. When it contracts your lungs get pulled down and this enables air to get sucked in. Stomach breathing is diaphragmatic breathing and it is the type of breathing we want to perform when we want maximum strength.

Many martial arts teach different breathing exercises as do many exercise programs. Breathing is an extremely important aspect for any type of training as well as being vital for good health. Learn to breath and include breathing exercises in your training. You will be stronger and you'll live longer and healthier.
