It's never too late

Said Ray Kroc about the time he started McDonald's Corporation, "I was 52 years old. I had diabetes and incipient arthritis. I had lost my gall bladder and most of my thyroid gland in earlier campaigns, but I was convinced that the best was ahead of me." (Quote found in Bo Bennett's Year to Success)

Col. Sanders was even older when he started KFC. No matter where you are today, you can change things for the better. If you are doing good, do more and be great. If you are doing great, do more and be fantastic! If things are not going well, you can turn them around. Make Good Things Happen!

Don't let age or anything else get in your way.

It's the Coffee!

This was sent to me by a friend. I don't know who the author was, but it is a nice message. Enjoy!

It's the Coffee!

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to
visit their old university professor. Conversation soon turned into
complaints about stress in work and life. Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and returned with a large pot of coffee and an
assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking,
some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

After all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said:
"If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up, leaving
behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is but normal for you to want only
the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress.

Be assured that the cup itself, adds no quality to the coffee in most
cases, just more expensive, and in some cases even hides what we drink.
What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you consciously
went for the best cups... and then began eyeing each other's cups.

Now consider this: Life is the coffee, and the jobs, money and position in
society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the
type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of life we live.
Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God has provided us."

God brews the coffee, not the cups..........enjoy your coffee.

Time Tactic - A Time Management Tip

We need to remember that we all have 24 hours each day. No more, no less. When we decide to add something to our day, such as a new committment to exercise for thirty minutes a day if you have not been doing so. Or maybe you have been exercising for thirty minutes, but want to increase your exercise time to one hour a day. Maybe you want to add thirty minutes of studying each day, or whatever. The point is, if you are going to add something to your daily routine, you need to also decide what you are not going to do.

You have been living 24 hours each day, if you are going to add to that day, you must also determine where you are going to find that extra thirty minutes. Will you get up a half hour earlier each day? Will you shorten or skip your lunch break and eat at your desk? Skip some TV shows? Spend less time on the Internet?

I'm not going to tell you where to find that time. You must do that be analyzing how you spend your days. Just remember, if you are going to add something, you will need to take that time from someplace else.

We can't do it all, so we must make sure what we are doing is the most important.
