Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki Co-author Business Book

I just read this report. It will be interesting to see what this book says. I find many of these kinds of books to be more motivational than nuts and bolts of what to do. But since the motivation to succeed and to do what is needed to succeed is so important, these books can be very valuable.

I have read all of Donald Trump's books as well as books about him. I have also ready many of the Rich Dad books by Robert Kiyosaki and the Rich Dad Advisors, as well as listened to some of the casette and CD programs. I'm sure I'll be checking out "Why We Want You to Be Rich: Two Men - One Message" and seeing what I can learn from it when it comes out. I'm looking forward to it.

Here is the report that was in Publishers Weekly daily e-mail (www.publishersweekly.com):

After announcing plans to co-author a business book and self-publish it, bestselling authors and world renowned entrepreneurs Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump have gone public with the fact that Publishers Group West will distribute their upcoming title, "Why We Want You to Be Rich: Two Men—One Message."

The book, which is due out in October, will be published by Kiyoaski's company Rich Publishing, under the Rich Press imprint. As part of the deal, PGW will also distribute Rich Woman, another business title from Rich Press by Kiyosaki's wife, Kim Kiyosaki, originally published in May.
The deal will also see PGW distributing two new titles from Rich Press this fall.

A percentage of book sales for "Why We Want You to Be Rich", which will focus on the shrinking middle class in America and offer advice on how readers can expand their wealth in the harsh economy, will be donated to groups that support financial literacy.

Nightingale Conant

Nightingale Conant has a huge library of excellent resources for your success. My library contains numerous Nightingale Conant programs. Some of my favorites include: Jim Rohn, Brian Tracy, Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, Denis Waitley, Roger Dawson, Robert Kiyosaki, and Earl Nightingale.

Some of the classics such as Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill are still excellent to listen to.

In the future I'll write more about specific programs, but for now I just want you to know about this excellent company and their products that will help you make things happen and be successful in many areas of your life. Check out the link to the right to see all of the resources Nightingale Conant offers.

Invisible labor

Everyone who knows me knows that I am a Victor Hugo fan. I mean, come on, we named our daughter Cosette. :-)

Here is a quote of Hugo's that I really like:

"A man is not idle because he is absorbed in thought. There is a visible labor and there is an invisible labor." - Victor Hugo (1802 - 1885)

Sometimes we need to take time to think. With the world racing by, and the constraints on our limited time becoming tighter and tighter each passing year, we tend to forget to take time to think. Make it a point to set aside time to plan your life, your destiny. Make it a point to set aside time to think of those things you want to accomplish. Take time to think about where you want your life to go. Take time to think about where you want your company to go. What do you want to achieve?

Think Big! Think Huge! You have to think it before you can achieve it.

Mid-year check up

Can you believe 2006 is nearly half over?

How are you doing on the goals you set this year? How much have you accomplished during this first half of 2006? What are you going to do the second half? How is this year stacking up against previous years? Are you doing the things that will help you get where you want to go?

Re-address the goals you made at the beginning of the year and chart your progress. How are you doing? What could you be doing better?

Determine what you will do in the next six months. Get back to work on those goals that you may have set aside. Make some new goals that will get you where you want to go.

Think about what you want from life, design your destiny, and Make It Happen!

Toot Your Own Horn

During last night's finale of The Apprentice, Donald Trump mentioned taking credit for what you do, and tooting your own horn. This is something Trump has done very well, and it has paid off for him. It is reported that 98 percent of Americans surveyed know who Donald Trump is.

According to an article Donald Trump wrote for the Inside Trump Tower e-newsletter, "Having an ego and acknowledging it is a healthy choice. Our ego is the center of our consciousness and gives us a sense of purpose." I agree with Trump, we need to have a bit of an ego and must be comfortable with ourselves and our own approval. We should not be afraid to toot our own horn once in a while when we do something worth tooting about.

The key is to toot your own horn carefully and professionally. You want to let others know about your success, but do it in a way that is not just bragging, boasting, or obnoxious. You want to craft a thoughtful and effective message to share information about you, your business, and profession in a way that makes people want to do business with you.

So go ahead and toot your own horn once in a while. Let others know the things you are making happen and how they will benefit from doing business with you.

Discipline

"The ability to discipline yourself to delay gratification in the short term in order to enjoy greater rewards in the long term is the indispensable prerequisite for success." - Maxwell Maltz

Isn't this the truth? Discipline is a key to making things happen and succeeding in the world.

You must me disciplined if you want to make it to the highest peaks!
